Satellite lubricants greatly reduce torque and drag and increase rate of penetration in all shales and gumbos and are particularly effective in horizontal drilling and sliding applications.  These glycol-based products form a hydrodynamic barrier between the drill pipe and the sidewall, coating shales and cuttings and decrease disintegration.  They are dispersible in all types of water-based fluids, are not affected by contaminants and will not interfere with rheological properties.

 

 

 

Satellite inhibitors provide inhibition and stabalization of highly reactive shales and clays. These blends of glycol-based products form a hydrodynamic barrier inhibiting water absorption and swelling, reducing bit-balling and improving wall-cake characteristics in addition to increasing lubricity. They are dispersible in all types of water-based fluids, are not affected by contaminants and will not interfere with rheological properties.

 

 

 

 

Satellite defoamers are highly effective glycol-based defoaming agents formulated to control foaming in muds containing fresh or sea water, effectively breaking foam as well as preventing further foaming and air entrainment.
